Columbia University's Butler Lawn

Here's a neighborhood find we happened upon while roaming the area looking for new (and green) spaces during the Covid lockdown, and one we kept coming back to. The Butler Lawn is just a nice patch of grass in a calm, collegiate setting.

There is no official dog-visitation policy that we know of, yet on sunny days Lua typically had her pick of playmates. Meanwhile, we humans would lay out a blanket and bask in the grandeur of Columbia's campus.
